“COURTEOUS” BANK ROBBER SOUGHT IN Houston AMEGY BANK ROBBERY
The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force needs the public’s assistance in identifying a bank robber who is being dubbed the “Courteous Robber” for his polite manners used throughout the bank robbery. At approximately 1:30PM this afternoon, the lone black male entered the Amegy Bank located at 1801 Main in Downtown Houston. The robber waited patiently in line before being called up by the teller. He handed the teller a note announcing the robbery and asking for certain denominations of cash. Then, he continued to repeatedly thank the teller and tell her how much he appreciated her assistance. He even provided the teller with a paper bag in which to put the cash. After exiting the bank with the cash, he ran south on Fannin Street. No one was hurt during the robbery.
The “Courteous Robbber” is described as a black male in his early 30s, approximately 6’00 – 6’03” with a dark complexion and a medium build. He was dressed in a black knit cap, dark jeans and a white button-down shirt with blue stripes.
