Additional Charges Filed Against Sexual Assault Suspect

Houston police homicide investigators said an additional sexual assault charge has been filed against a suspect arrested and charged in six other sexual assaults in the city's Acres Homes area. The new charge stems from a sexual assault at 9205 Sandle on May 26, 2004 about 10:15 p.m.
The suspect, Bilford Dwight Junious (b/m, 9/19/70), was arrested at 11 p.m. on August 4, 2006 at 16110 East Hardy. On March 13, 2007, an aggravated sexual assault charge was filed in the 263rd State District Court. Junious remains in the Harris County Jail.
Investigators are reviewing evidence from other sexual assaults and homicides in the Acres Homes community to determine if Junious may also be responsible for other crimes. THIS INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING AND IDENTIFICATION OF THIS SUSPECT IS PENDING FROM OTHER VICTIMS. AS SUCH, THE HOUSTON POLICE DEPARTMENT IS REQUESTING THE MEDIA TO NOT AIR ANY PHOTOGRAPHS OF BILFORD JUNIOUS.

On May 26, 2004, the victim was sexually assaulted at 9205 Sandle. The victim viewed a video line-up and made a positive identification of Junious, a serial rapist in the Acres Homes area.
