DENZIAL TITTLE CONVICTED OF DISTRIBUTING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
HOUSTON, TX – Denzial Ray Tittle, 50, formerly of Katy, Texas, pleaded guilty this morning to distributing images of child pornography via the Internet in February 2005, United States Attorney Don DeGabrielle announced today. United States District Judge Kenneth M. Hoyt, who accepted Tittle’s plea and convicted him of the federal felony offense, has set sentencing for October 30, 2006. Title faces no less than five (5) and a maximum of 20 years for the conviction.
Tittle was indicted June 8, 2006, accused of distributing child pornography beginning in early January 2005 through March 7, 2005, and possessing child pornography on a computer that included more than 600 images of prepubescent children, some as young as 6 years of age, engaged in sexual conduct with adult men.
Tittle, who has been in federal custody since his arrest and on a finding by the court that his conduct presented a danger to the community, will remain in federal custody until his sentencing hearing.
Tittle’s prosecution is part of the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Childhood (PSC), a comprehensive national initiative aimed at preventing the abuse and exploitation of children through the Internet or other distribution technology.
