Composite Sketch of Wanted Sexual Assault Suspect

"The following article includes allegations as released by the government and should not be taken as truthful evidence or as any indication of guilt. As these allegations remain unanswered by the accused and unadjudicated by a court, they remain unproved and are just as likely false."

Investigators with the Houston Police Sex Crimes Unit have released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted in at least three aggravated sexual assaults in southwest Houston.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 30 to 35 years of age, approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, between 180 and 200 pounds. He has short black hair. The victims claim he speaks broken Spanish to make his demands and wears eyeglasses with clear lenses and dark frame. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap. The composite sketch is attached to this news release.

The suspect is wanted in incidents at 5900 Bissonnet on December 13, 2006 about 6:25 p.m., at 5909 Fondren on January 4, 2007 about 4:10 p.m., and at 5840 Glenmont on January 12, 2007 about 2:05 p.m.

HPD Homicide Division Sex Crimes Unit Investigator P.R. Moreno reported:

In all instances, the suspect knocks on doors of apartments of females alone with small children. The suspect speaks broken Spanish to them and the victims are unable to understand him. He asks for a pen and paper to write on or he will ask the victim for a person she does not know. The suspect forces his way into the victim’s apartment, pulls out a chrome or stainless steel automatic gun and threatens them. The suspect demands money, and after the victim complies he takes them to a bedroom where he sexually assaults her. The suspect wears a condom, which he brings with him. After the assault, the victims are told to remain in the bedroom or in the bedroom closet. In two of the cases there were small children present who were placed in a different bedroom.
