From my personal experiences at the Harris County Criminal "Justice" Center, not much has changed since the election. Yes, Prosecutors still seem gung ho in prosecuting their cases regardless of merit. Only difference is that some former prosecutors are now defense lawyers, which, in some cases is a very scary prospect for their clients.

Harris County DA's still certify more juveniles to be tried as adults than the next nine largest DA offices combined. Juvenile court prosecutors still refuse release of OR's, citing policy. The Harris Co. DA still prosecutes filmsy cases apparently because of certain prosecutors desires to make a name for themselves in certain areas (you've seen that in your recent client acquittals for child sexual assault). I have not seen any statistics on the Lykos administration, but I suspect the conviction machine is alive and well.
