According to the records presented to the public (DALLAS NEWS)BY Texas,
the state paid the bus companies 1.2 million dollars to charter the busses from companies like RED Ball, headquartered in Oklahoma where it's busses actually came from to move the Ranch Children

The figure was later 6/13/08, RAISED TO 2.4 MILLION.

I called Red Ball after the Supreme Court Ruling, to charter a bus from them to pick up children from San Antonio to San Angelo. The charge would have been $2,400.00 per bus with a driver.

Using the States LOWEST figures it supplied, and estimating each bus to cost $4,000.00 PER CHARTER, THE STATE WOULD HAVE TO HAVE AT LEAST 300
BUSSES ROLLING OUT OF THE STOCKADE TO TAKE THE CHILDREN TO PRISON IN APRIL.

THAT MEANS THAT 300 BUSSES WERE USED TO TRANSPORT 465 CHILDREN, OR, LESS THAN 2 CHILDREN PER BUS.

THE COST SO FAR CLAIMED BY THE STATE IS 27 MILLION DOLLARS, AND THAT IS THROUGH 6/14/08. THEY HAVE BEEN SILENT SINCE THEN, SUPPLYING NO MORE SPENDING FIGURES.

THE TRUE COST IS BETWEEN 35 TO 40 MILLION, AND THAT'S BEFORE THE FIRST DAMAGES AWARD THAT WAS FILED FOR TWO DAYS AGO BY A TWO YEAR OLD BOY.

The 12 million you are citing must be for the raid itself, not including all the legal costs being generated by the State every day, inlcuding lawyers fees (for CPS) and continuing investigations into select FLDS families (by CPS and CASA and state paid AAL's). The estimate for the State of Texas is well above 30 million in tax payer money.

I was born and raised a Texan, but escaped when I came of age in 1957. Alaska joining the Union was a great blow to the Texas psyche and I fear they have not recovered yet.
Thank you for your comments on Texas law and the FLDS vs The Republic of Texas. I don't hold much hope for Texas as they seem not to have made much progress in the last 50 years. I really hope you can do something, if not for the FLDS but for the Constitution of the United States. It seems to no longer exist.
I appreciate your effort and applaud your good works.

Raid on FLDS could cost Texas $14 million or more
Admitted as of 6/14, using older records.

But on June 6, 2008, the amount of $20,655.000.00 had been mentioned.

Then in mid July they spoke of an additional $12.5 million tacked on to the bill.

I'd feel comfortable guessing over $30 million, and that's before civil complaints.

Consider the increase in CPS/ DFPS work load when looking at the work contracted out. The most recent stat's available shown a tremendous INCREASE in the rate of hostages taken and adoptions handled.

On November 20, 2007, the Commission assembled by Justice O'Neill told us they had THIRTY TWO THOUSAND children in custody in Texas.

The federal numbers showed 5,599 in custody, with 2,605 adopted out in 2006. O'Neill's numbers tell us 32,000 at the end of 2007, and surely the Justice of the SCOT would not sign off on a false document. So, I'll just believe it was 571% of the 2006 numbers.

If accurate, and the adoptions were relative in the increase, that would be 14,874 adoptions. Now I doubt that happened, but just for the sake of the funding questions, what could that pay Texas?

The federal system pays up to $4,000 per adoption with a bonus for increase. OH BOY! That adds up to about $59,496,000.00. While these numbers are only estimates based on the truthfulness of that order Justice O'Neill brags about, it sure looks like they have plenty of room for budget errors.

Maybe they'd have better luck taking all the children from any apartment complexes they actually find a victim of child abuse in.
