I find it very scary that Agent Sanchez is working for the U.S. government! I smell double agent big time, has anyone checked his bank account or any offshore assets lately? Sutton is a real piece of work, this whole case smells big time, well I guess if your name isn't Libby no libby-ation for you. Hopefully the Congress folks who are working hard for these guys keep on pushing many of them are former Judges and DA's they know a flawed and dirty case when they see one.

Gee Thanks Mark! I can always count on you to hold back. As a friend and favorite colleague, I must consider your point. In the interest of disclosure, I have represented several border patrol agents over the years and in every instance, law enforcement went WAY out of their way to punish the agent far in excess of their offense. For some reason, there is a long standing rift between Border Patrol and most local law enforcement agencies, both state and federal. With this background in mind, my perspective may have been one sided. Thanks for reading.

I've got to ask: to whom do you see yourselves pandering with this post?

Rather than regurgitate talk-radio drivel unworthy of either of you, how about a substantive post that includes a learned review of the record and explanation of how the jury could have gotten things so wrong?
